Hartlepool Coastal Surveillance (HCS) is a registered charity and is controlled by a board of trustees with a constitution agreed by the charities commission.

Each station is run by a station manager who is responsible for the provision of trained personnel, maintenance and overall discipline of the station.
Fund raising at station level relies upon the good will of local people, businesses and from other sources who wish to support the important work carried out by HCS.

The funds raised help covers the rent and the maintenance of the building, all equipment and the necessary paper work needed to keep the station running effectively.

Volunteers put many hours of their free time to ensuring the high quality of service to the public and those using our shorelines and seaways and do not expect to be reimbursed.

All funds donated to HCS are used exclusively for the maintenance and efficient running of the station and no member is paid any remuneration for the outstanding work they perform.

We welcome any donation and if you visit the seaside or use the sea for your pleasure boating then a donation to HCS will ensure that the station can maintain a 365 day a year watch keeping adding to your safety and pleasure.

Donations should be sent to Hartlepool Coastal Surveillance, c/o Bill Wilson, Station Secretary, 52 Lansdowne Road, Hartlepool, TS26 9JJ.
